Interesting But Needs Updating 06/03/2014
By Dave Kinsella
I recommend anyone who buys from or supports this ministry to listen to this. It really helped me see why they charge and where the money goes. We Christians are perhaps a little too idealistic sometimes. It was helpful to see the difference between Charity and Scroll and why the former can be free while the latter cannot be. However it was recorded in 2005 and thus things appear to have changed quite a bit since then. the CDs are no longer $2 each. Also, Bercot tells people they will no longer be responding to emails and people must call in for support or questions. I'm not sure of current policy, but my experience with Scroll Publishing has been different. David's son has been gracious enough to take some time to talk to me, and I have also had responses by email, though David himself has never been available. Also, for anyone interested in David Bercot's story, this will help fill in a bit more detail, and could just as easily go in with his Pilgrimage series. I was especially interested in hearing about the bookstore he started which got the whole ministry rolling in the first place. I don't ever remember hearing that before. And this is a note to David Bercot: Please write a biography! It appears to me there is lots more to hear. I, for one, would buy it. And it would be a lasting record to leave to your own family and those who will encounter your ministry long after you go to be with the Lord.
