Peter Hoover: Update on Peter Hoover's 2nd Surgery

I know many of you are waiting to hear a report from us, and now I will quickly grab this chance to update you! I (Susan) am at home now and Peter was transferred yesterday from Hobart to the North West Regional Hospital in Burnie, about a 40-minute drive from our home. He is doing very well, and by now I can give you the official pathology report.

The tumour measured about 2 and a half centimetres, which is about half as big as the first one was. This time the surgeons were able, as far as they know, to remove all of the tumour that they could see under microscope. An MRI scan the day following surgery confirmed that all of the tumour is gone. They said there is always a chance, though, that there are some ultra-tiny cells that they cannot see, but as far as they know they removed all of the tumour cells and tissue.

We are praising the Lord! We continue to pray that this will not recur. We know it is all in the Lord's hands, and he will do what is best. What a blessing to be able to trust in him, completely. Our lives are secure in him.

We want to thank all of you for praying for us during this time. We know that many, many prayers were ascending for us and we feel deeply grateful. The Lord is faithful and he answered our prayers and yours. May God bless you for your love and concern.

Here at the community we are having much illness, fever and coughing. We suspect we may have the whooping cough among us. Several of the children have been tested at the hospital but we will not have the results for a week. But many of us are sick, particularly the children. Something else to pray about!

Thank you all once again.

Peter
