This audio CD begins with The War Prayer, a poignant short story by Mark Twain that demonstrates the utter incompatibility of Christianity and war. When churches pray for victory for the armies of their countries, what are they really praying for?
This CD also includes the best passages from Leo Tolstoy’s important work, The Kingdom of God Is Within. This book, by one of the world’s greatest authors, explains why nonresistance is the only way of life open to Christians. It reflects Tolstoy’s piercing insights on war and the unholy compromises made by most institutional churches.

This is a story about a city praying to God for their troops before going off to battle, the pastor finished praying and a stranger comes up with a message that shocks...... God bless our troops?
