This story was written by Johanna Spyri, the famed author of Heidi. The main character is a devout Christian boy named Moni, who takes the village goats out to pasture each day on the high slopes of the Swiss Alps. One day his blissful life is shattered when he comes across information about a lost heirloom. If he tells what he knows, it will cost him the life of his beloved pet goat. If he remains silent, it will destroy his close relationship with the Lord. What should he do?
