The Radical Reformation is the name commonly given to the Anabaptist movement of the sixteenth century. Luther, Zwingli, and Calvin couldn’t picture a church that was independent of the state. The Radical reformers realized that there could be no return to New Testament Christianity until the church was completely separate from the state.
