| I've had the book for 10 years and still use it often. It's a devotional staple, almost as basic as the Bible. Every believer ought to have one and, more importantly, *use* it. As for me, it was my introduction to early Christian writings, which it has been my great delight to explore through the Ante-Nicene Fathers, the New Testament Apocrypha, etc., which have all helped me understand the Scriptures better and stay centered doctrinally. The DECB is a convenient and inexhaustible introduction to a vast body of spiritual knowledge. If I ever lose it, I'll have to buy another one immediately, it's that important! | ||||
