I have read it three times since and have gleaned much insight each time. To a point, this is the "Anabaptist" version of "Will the Real Heretics Please Stand Up", as it explains the history of the Anabaptist movement as well as its decline after the first hundred years.
Peter Hoover challenges us to live out the Sermon on the Mount, however, regardless of one's cultural background. This remains one of my prized books. Every serious-minded Anabaptist friend I have shared it with wants their own copy!
